Larry Alan Springer  Larry Alan Springer, 50, formerly of Evansville, died from cancer Saturday, December 31, 2005, at VNA Charlier Hospice Center. Larry was an inspiration to many people for the way he handled his health problems with humor, courage, and determination. He graduated from USI in 1980. He worked as a computer analyst for Nukote International. He also taught computer classes at USI in the late 1980s. Larry was a member of Lessing Masonic Lodge 464, the Scottish Rite, and the Hadi Shrine, hospital staff. He enjoyed Christmas season celebrations, woodworking, fishing, and traveling. Larry was also a member of Mill Road Baptist Church. Larry is survived by his wife Nancy (Loveless) Springer of Wadesville; parents, William and Mary Springer of Evansville; sister, Karen Dollison of Evansville; sister, Lyn Hayden and husband, Tom of Posey County; father and mothernin-law, Oscar and Bonnie Loveless of Elberfeld; six nephews, Jeremy Hayden of Chandler, Ind., Matt Hayden of Posey County, Dan Dollison of Evansville, Philip Loveless and wife, Stephanie of South Carolina, Jeremy Loveless of LaPorte, Ind., and Adam Rager of Evansville ; two nieces, Wanda Loveless of LaPorte, Ind., April Daniel and husband, Derek of Hatfield, Ind.; brother-in-law, Andy Loveless and wife, Fran of Elberfeld; brother-in-law, Ray Loveless and wife, Carol of LaPorte, Ind., and sister-in-law, Myra Rager and husband, Terry of Evansville and two great nephews. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2005, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Revs. Billy Kellough and John Kellough with burial at Northview Cemetery in Elberfeld. Friends may call Wednesday, January 4, from 2 to 8 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time at Alexander North Chapel. Rev. Lawrence K. Curry   CHAND-LER — Rev. Lawrence K. Curry, 86, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at the Woodmont Health Campus in Boonville, Ind. Rev. Curry was a graduate of Spurgeon High School and Oakland City College and earned his Master's Degree from Indiana University. He was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran. He taught in Illinois and at Newburgh and Castle High Schools, retiring in 1984. He pastored many General Baptist churches in Warrick County. He was a lifelong member of Bethel General Baptist Church. He was a member of Lessing Masonic Lodge and Evansville Scottish Rite. Rev. Curry was preceded in death by his 1st wife of 42 years, Cathern Deloras Campbell Curry; one brother, Jack; one granddaughter, Heidi Kaiser; and also his parents, Edgar andDoraCurry. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff at Woodmo Health Campus. Rev. Curry is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary Florence (Barton) Curry; two daughters, Vesta Curry of Madison, Ind., and Marlene Barnes of Evansville; son, Kenneth (Janet) Curry of Henderson, Ky.; nine grandchildren; stepdaughters Carol Haynes of Boonville, Donna Bruce of Owensboro, Ky., and Susan (James) Cunningham of Indianapolis; stepson, Scot (Kena) Kirby of Petersburg, Ind.; sister, Velma (Gerald) Britton of Solsberry, Ind.; brother, Dorman Curry of Engelwood, Fla.; nieces and nephew. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, from the Koehler Funeral Home Perigo Chapel. Rev. Revis Eastham will officiate the service. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Boonville, Ind., with military rites by the Warrick County Veterans Memorial Services. James R. Gentry James R. Gentry, 84, died Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at his home in Evansville, Indiana. James was a member of North Haven General Baptist Church. He was a member of 464 Lessing Masonic Lodge. the VFW in Boonville, Ind., and the IBEW. James retired in 1984 from SIGECO, where he was a cable splicer for 36 years. He served five years with the Army, two of which he served in Iran where he worked in an ammunition warehouse. James was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Gentry and his sisters, Arvada Miles and Earleen Gentry. James is survived by two sons, Tom Gentry and Don (Mary) Gentry, both of Evansville; daughter, Debbie (Tom) McCart of Tell City, Ind.; sisters, Inez Mills and Faye Hargrave, both of Boonville, Ind.; grandchildren, Renee and Jimmy Gentry, Vicki Freeman, Bryan Taylor, Joyce Crook, Diana Carter, and Jeannie Bates; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sisters-in-law, Beulah Brenton of Phoenix, Ariz., Joann Cook of Winslow, Ind., and Carol Jean Corn of Denver, Colo. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2006, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Reverend Gary Watson and Deacon Rick Armitage, with burial at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville. Friends may call Friday, January 6, 2006, from 2 to 8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at Alexander East Chapel. Delbert "Chuck" Franklin Russell Delbert "Chuck" Franklin Russell, 56, died Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at his residence in Newburgh, Indiana.
Chuck retired in 1996 from Sterling Boiler as a Master Electrician. He was a SSGT in Vietnam in the 25th Infantry where he received the National Defense Service Metal, Vietnam Service Metal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Army Commendation Medal. He was a Mason at Lessing Masonic Lodge #464, a lifetime member of the DAV where he was a volunteer driver, member of the VFW Post 1114, member of M.A.S.H. II of Warrick County and a member of AmVet on the West Side of Evansville. He attended the American Baptist East Church. Chuck enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a Soldier and a Patriot and believed in his country and flag. Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Ravis Russell and mother, Vera Longist. He is survived by his wife, Tamara "Schnabel" Russell of Newburgh, Ind.; daughters, Julie Coffey of Norfolk, Va., Haley "Phipps" Russell of Newburgh, Ind., Nicole Russell of Boonville, Ind.; sons, Jason Russell of Lemoore, Calif., Michael Russell of Boonville, Ind.; son-in-law, Eric Coffey of Norfolk, Va.; stepson, Logan Phipps of Evansville, Ind.; brother, Carl Stroud of Boonville, Ind.; sister-in-law and caregiver, Kellie Schnabel of Evansville, Ind.; grandchildren, Jaymee Coffey, Eric Coffey, Jr, Jason Coffey all of Norfolk, Va., Kimberly Russell of Lemoore, Calif.; father-in-law, Ronald Schnabel of Evansville, Ind.; nephew, Adam Schnabel of Evansville, Ind.; cousin and caregiver, Aaron Stroud of Evansville, Ind.
