Robert "Bob" Allen Dodson
Robert "Bob" Allen Dodson, 75, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 at his home.
Bob was born in Chester, Pennsylvania on March 17, 1940 to the late Earl Thomas and Edith Mae (Talley) Dodson. He served in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division. Bob retired from Alcoa after 28 years of service and was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ. He was also a member of Lessing Masonic Lodge 464 and recently received his 50 year gold pin. Family was always the main focus in Bob's life. Bob was a story teller but he never let the facts get in the way of one of his good stories. He enjoyed IU Basketball, NFL Football, NASCAR, hunting, fishing and barbecuing.
Married with love for 55 years to Jeane (Stevens) Dodson of Evansville, IN; daughter, Andrea Wright (James) of Evansville, IN; sons, Jeff Dodson (Candice) of Evansville, IN, Scott Dodson (Lynae) of Morgan Hill, CA; sisters, Irene Bell, Barbara Fisher, Delores Augustine; brother, Earl T. Dodson, Jr.; grandchildren, Zachary, Madeline, Matthew, Olivia, Benjamin, Anna, Jada, Kiele and Xannon.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
A Masonic walk through will start at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN 47711 followed by a celebrations of Bob's life at 6:30 PM with Rev. Joe Fraccaro officiating where military rites will be conducted by the Retired Veterans Memorial Club.
Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until service time on Wednesday at Browning Funeral Home.
